WHO I AM

Third Generation Hong Kong Coach

I am the third generation of a family of accomplished Hong Kong coaches. It all started when my grandfather started a world famous family swim school based in Hong Kong in the 1970's, with my parents soon coming under his wing, and myself following suit when I came of age.

Growing up in Hong Kong I have a unique understanding of both local and international schools, and all the sporting institutes and opportunities within the country.

I grew up as an accomplished age group swimmer, before moving on to Modern Pentathlon (swimming, running, shooting, fencing, equestrian) when I was at boarding school in the U.K. As an adult I turned to Triathlon, competing in Sprint to 70.3 distances. I have also competed in Marathon swimming & running, and Ultra Marathon running events, and still actively compete in a variety of the above sports as an age grouper.

After becoming a accomplished youth athlete I then turned my talents and expertise to coaching in order to give back to the next generation of Hong Kong sport. I have been teaching and coaching since my early teenage years amounting to almost 20 years of experience. I have extensive experience in racing and coaching all the sports I offer - swimming, cycling, running, and triathlon.

I have experience in teaching and coaching athletes of all abilities from complete beginners to Olympic hopefuls.

I view all of my clients as part of the extended Wright family, and as such deliver an athlete centered, honest and no nonsense approach to my programme.

I work very closely with a partner company, 26 Coaching.
